Congratulations to the 9 young men from Buchan Battalion who completed their Assessed Hikes in challenging conditions this weekend.
Well done to Bronze boys Jon & Brody (1st Fraserburgh); Kyran (1st New Pitsligo); Bailey (4th Peterhead)
and Silver boys Marcus & Ross (1st Fraserburgh); Ruary (4th Fraserburgh); Brandon & Connor (1st New Pitsligo) you have all done brilliantly well and a credit to yourselves and your Companies
Thanks also to Steven Wilson (Assessor), Kevin Mutch (Trainer), Kevin Lynch (Supervisor Bronze), Derek Richardson (Supervisor Silver) Grant Massie, Martin Dunbar & Fraser McCann for staffing the Hikes over the weekend.
Eleven young men set off on their Bronze and Silver DofE Practice hike yesterday!
The Bronze candidates must complete a two day hike with one night wild camping whilst the Silver candidates must complete a three day hike with two nights wild camping.
Here are the pictures from yesterday!
Good luck to the candidates and thank you to the officers for giving their time to make these important activities happen.
The President and Executive of the Buchan Battalion send their congratulations to Bailey Lynch and Kyle Gammack of the 4th Peterhead Company who were presented with their President’s Badges tonight.
The Badge is the second-highest in the Brigade and is the first requirement before boys can go on to work towards their Queen’s Badge.
We wish them every success in their endeavors for the Queen’s Badge!
The President and Executive of the Buchan Battalion send their Congratulations to Alex Aamer of the 4th Peterhead Company, who today was presented with his Queen’s Badge.
His Company Captain, Alan Macdonald, gave Alex a glowing report for the work he carried out through his Queen’s Badge, as well as for the positive impact he has had on the Company.
Further credit should be given as Alex is one of the young men who had to change his planned work for the Queen’s Badge – the highest award in the BB – due to the pandemic.
Well done, Alex!
The 4th Peterhead Company meet on a Thursday evening in the Peterhead Methodist Church.
Anyone one from Primary 2 up to 18 years old is invited to join them.
Please get in touch through their Facebook Page – 4th Peterhead Boys Brigade!
They look forward to welcoming you!
