The #140Baton has been handed over from 4th Peterhead to the 1st Fraserburgh at the top of Kinnaird Head Lighthouse, Fraserburgh!
The King’s Message was read to assembled BB members by Mrs Kate Nicolson of Cairnbulg Castle, Depute Lieutenant of Aberdeenshire!

This afternoon the 1st Strichen handed over the #140Baton to the 4th Peterhead at Aden House, in Mintlaw. The baton will now make its way to the Area’s most eastern point on the mainland – the Blue Toon!
The hand over party was made up of Liam and Kyle, brothers from Strichen who accompanied Company Captain Steve Wilson and Ryle and Nathanial from Peterhead who were accompanied by Lt Leon Lynch. Well done to all as the weather was not kind today.
We will look forward to seeing what the 4th Peterhead have in store.
Well done to the 1st Strichen Boys Brigade who have done an amazing job with the Baton since they received it a week ago.
Today representatives of the Company will arrange a handover to the 4th Peterhead Company at Aden, Mintlaw!

This evening the #140Baton made an appearance at our Executive meeting.
The Baton is currently in the custody of the 1st Strichen but it will make its way around all other companies with an exciting itinerary planned!
It was a very productive meeting too!
The #140Baton has crossed the border to Buchan Battalion!
It was received by the 1st Strichen and Battalion Vice-President after being cycled from Ellon by the 1st Ellon Boys’ Brigade!
The Baton contains a message from H. M. The King which will now make its way across Buchan Battalion!
All in Buchan will be excited to welcome the #140Baton next weekend when 1st Strichen receive it from the 1st Ellon Boys’ Brigade!

The baton will remain in Buchan until 20th January 2024 when 1st New Pitsligo Boys Brigade hand it over to the 2nd Turriff and it continues its journey into Banffshire!
Well done to Martin Dunbar, Captain of 4th & 5th Fraserburgh, who this evening is in London celebrating 140 years of the Boys’ Brigade!

It must be great to know your work is appreciated by the Boys’ Brigade! It certainly is by us folk in Buchan!

This evening the delegates from Buchan enjoyed a Civic Reception at Inverness Town House as part of the North Scottish Area’s annual conference.
A good night was had by all!

1st Rosehearty Senior team took first place and 4th & 5th Fraserburgh took 3rd!
The important thing is that all participants enjoyed their day celebrating 140 years of the Boys’ Brigade with fellow members from around Scotland. Well done to all and thanks to the organisers!
