Please see the upcoming Battalion Competitions for November!
Further details to be released in due course.
Well done to all the Boys who took part in the Scottish Cross Country!
Buchan Battalion came first in the Intermediate group taking home the Dunlop Trophy for the very first time!
Liam B (1st Rosehearty) came third in the individual Intermediate event improving his qualifying time.
All ran very well on what turned out to be a sweltering day at (Dunblane) and should be proud of their efforts and medals!
This evening the Buchan Battalion held the annual 10-pin-bowling competition for Company and Seniors which was well attended.
The Battalion was honoured to receive a new shield for this competition which has been donated in memory of the late Duncan Leel Jnr.
The inaugural winner of this handsome shield is Jonathan Beagrie, 4th Fraserburgh, who won tonight’s 10-pin-bowling competition by one point! Well done Jonathan! Mrs Jessie Leel, Duncan Jnr’s mam, presented Jonathan with the Shield and a keepie trophy.
Duncan Jnr was a keen bowls player, but as the Battalion does not have a bowls competition it was felt the 10-pin-bowling was the best fit for a Battalion memorial.
The 4th Fraserburgh will host the Company/Seniors Football Competition on Thursday, 25 April at Keswick Park. The Competition will run from 6pm to 8pm.
More information to follow including team size and number of teams.
This morning the Battalion’s Anchors Chair received the Henry Duthie MBE Memorial Shield ready to be presented to its inaugural winners!
The Shield, donated by 4th Fraserburgh in honour of their late former Captain, will be the Championship Shield for the Anchors Competitions.
It has been wonderful to see the number of Anchors competitions increase in the last couple of years and it is great to see a Battalion award in honour of Henry!
We look forward to seeing its first presentation!
